ROSNO Group is one of the largest insurance groups in Russia. It comprises the universal federal-level insurance company OJSC IC ROSNO and its subsidiaries: OJSC ROSNO-MS, OJSC RC ROSNO Centre, CJSIC Medexpress, OJSC Allianz ROSNO Asset Management, and SLC Allianz Ukraine.
ROSNO’s controlling interest is held by Allianz New Europe Holding GmbH (99.4%), the division of the leading international insurer Allianz SE, combining companies in Central and Eastern Europe.

Founded in 1991, OJSC IC «ROSNO» is one of the largest Russian universal insurance companies. Its clients can choose from over 130 types of voluntary and obligatory insurance. ROSNO’s regional network comprises 88 branches combined into 8 territorial directorates, and 383 agencies in all Russian federal administrative units.
Audit of ROSNO’s IFRS statements is performed by the international audit company KPMG. ROSNO follows the policy of transparency for clients, partners, and shareholders. In 1996, the company has completed transition to the international financial reporting standards (IFRS). And in 2006, ROSNO became the first Russian insurance company to publish its performance results under the international standards.
ROSNO is one of the leaders of the Russian insurance market by capitalization. The company’s capital consists solely of shareholders’ equity, thus enabling additional financial stability and reliability. Authorized capital is 5,124,802,320 roubles. Equity is 7,396,287 thousand roubles; insurance reserves are 27,195,997 thousand roubles (as of 30 September 2009).
ROSNO has high-quality obligatory reinsurance protection of risks accepted by the company. Among the company’s reinsurance partners are Allianz, Hannover Re, SCOR, Munich Re, Swiss Re, and major Russian reinsurers. ROSNO also cooperates with brokerage agencies of Lloyd’s Corporation.

In 2007, the international rating agency Moody’s Investors Service raised ROSNO’s global-scale financial reliability rating to Âàà1. Rating forecast is «Stable». At the same time, the rating agency Moody’s Interfax assigned ROSNO a national-scale rating Ààà.ru.
In the national rating of Russian insurance companies held by the rating agency Expert RA, ROSNO has been assigned the highest À++ grade («Exceptionally high reliability level») for the seventh consecutive year. When compiling the year 2008 rating, the rating agency for the first time extended this grade to the Group of companies (OJSC IC ROSNO and OJSC ROSNO-MS).
In 2007, ROSNO was the first Russian company to achieve conformity of its major business processes to the international data security standards. The company’s data security control system has been certified for ISO/IEC 27001:2005.
ROSNO has been repeatedly awarded with the Company of the Year premium (including the year 2007), and it is included in the register of reliable business partners of the RF Chamber of Commerce and Industry. ROSNO is a laureate of the National Award for brand creation and promotion: Golden BRAND OF THE YEAR/EFFIE 2005.
In 2007, under the International Brand Listing Project (Brandlisting.com), ROSNO brand was estimated by the agency V-RATIO Business Consulting Company to be worth USD 444.6 mln.
ROSNO is a winner of the annual rating «People’s Brand» in 2003 and 2005 in the Insurance Company nomination.
ROSNO is a three-time winner in the Insurance Company nomination in the Most Trusted Brand poll conducted by the Readers Digest magazine. The major evaluation criteria are: quality, reliability, positive image, and understanding of the client’s needs.
ROSNO has repeatedly won Russian public awards in the field of insurance «Golden Salamander»: Russian Insurance Client’s Choice (three times), Most Informational openness (four times), Insurance Executive of the Year, Best Managerial Project of the Year in service quality, and Insurance Service Quality of the Year, New Insurance Product — 2008.
According to the Rating Centre of the Economic Strategies Institute (INES), it is for the third year in a row that ROSNO ranks first in the annual rating «50 Most Strategically-Minded Insurance Companies».
ROSNO has also won in the nomination «For Promotion of the European Standards in the Russian Insurance Sector» of the annual contest held by the Finance magazine (2006).
In 2007, ROSNO was named Insurance Company of the Year at the annual contest held by the business weekly edition «Kompaniya», based on analysis of the events occurring in various markets.
In 2008, ROSNO won the nomination «Best Reinsurer 2007» at the contest held under the auspices of the Administrative Committee of the Annual Russian Reinsurance Conference.
In 2008, ROSNO was honoured with a title of an IT leader in insurance for its outstanding contribution to the development of information technologies in Russia.
It is not the first year that ROSNO’s top managers are included in the Insurance Sector TOP 5 in the rating of 1000 best Russian managers (project by the Russian Managers Association and the Kommersant newspaper).
